Siri is wearing her grandmother´s apron.

7. september 2009: Siri is wearing her grandmother´s apron. She´s pointing to her in the photo, and it looks like she is wearing the same apron. Siri and I had a long discussion about family history and its importance to some people. Siri mother has just celebrated her 100th birthday here in Oslo, and her grandmother lived well into her 90´s too. The apron was made for the grandmother´s job as a cook in a small hotel. Siri inherited the apron along with a cottage in the mountains. She thinks that it was brought to the cottage when it became too shabby to be worn for work. It´s funny the emotions we attach to inanimate things and I am moved that Siri has given this to me for the Bypass project. It was so generous.
